TRAIL NAVIGATION

This walk is Arteixo Senda Litoral, SA 15-01. If you have Wikiloc account, there is gspx available HERE

Regardless, the navigation between the two beaches is very easy as you follow coastline on pedestrian and bike paths close to the coast. Additionally several directional posts help you with navigation as well provide distance remaining. It is well sign posted in both directions.

TRAIL DETAILS

You will pass by several beaches along the way. You can start your Arteixo hike anywhere along the trail as there are many parking lots. It is mostly on pedestrian and bike paths made of tarmac or smooth flat stone. For this reason it is possible to do the hike with a pram or wheelchair also. It is very easy trail also for navigation, you keep walking along the coastline and there are directional posts to help in some locations. You will tackle few small hills as it is very much uphill and downhill. Enjoy several benches or picnic tables with great views.

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

I completed this hike in November 2024 across few days during week. It was poor weather, with a lot of strong winds and some rain. I still met some local people enjoying their walk. Expect busy trail during weekends, especially during sunny days, when it is also possible to swim.
